Game Music – So Unappreciated

Extracredits-GameMusic524

After listening to a variety of music throughout these years, from American pop back in 2007 to Korean pop nowadays, I have to say that game music is the one of the most diverse and interesting type of music out there, along with movie and animation soundtracks. It’s amazing how much emotions composers can evoke with a looped tune, and how some pieces can create an image of the theme it represents even when I haven’t played the game before. For example, Chrono Cross’s “Arni Village” creates an image of a peaceful, small village with its melodic guitar strings. It’s so good, but it’s a shame not many people know this type of music exists.
